Police Department – Chief Robert Jones

Robert (Bob) Jones has been the police chief since August of 1986. His job is to adequately supervise the police department and to ensure the safety of our City. He reports to the City Manager as well as the City Council. Along with his administrative duties as a Chief, Bob also patrols the City himself.

My name is Tiffany Durant, I was hired at the City of Merkel as a Dispatcher for the Police Department, EMS, and Fire Department.
