HB 3693 (Government Code § 2264.001 (b)) requires cities to post the following information:
The City of Merkel purchases natural gas from Atmos Energy. In Calendar Year 2012, the City purchased a total of 321.7 thousand cubic feet (MCF) of natural gas.
The City of Merkel purchases water from the City of Abilene. In Calendar Year 2012, the City purchased a total of 102,410,000 gallons of water.
The City of Merkel purchases electricity from Direct Energy and Taylor Electric Cooperative. In Calendar Year 2012 the City purchased a total of 445,354 kilowatt hours (KWH) of electricity.
The total cost of natural gas, electricity and water purchased in the Calendar Year 2012 is $ 394,542.00.
